Walter F. “Tut” Heid, age 89, of Belle Vernon, formerly of Elizabeth, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at home. He was a loving father, husband and a friend to all.
Walter was a graduate of Har-Brack High School and the University of Maryland. An Army veteran serving during the Korean War, he retired as a safety engineer for the steel industry.
He was a member of Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church in Elizabeth Twp., was a past president of the Central Lions Club, and a member of the Sutersville Moose. Born December 15, 1930 in Tarentum, he was a son of the late Walter F. and Caroline (Stem) Heid.
Walter is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beverly Heid; children, Sheryl (Jerry) Heid Lazar of Perryopolis and Bryan (Cindy) Heid of Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Anna and Joel Lazar; step-grandchildren, Holly (Dave) Croteau and Michael Scott; great-grandson, Alexander Croteau; nephews, Stephen and David Heid; nieces, Stacie Kennefick and Laura (Chip) Fohl; and great-niece, Olivia.

Christopher Andrew Lacey, age 37, of Elizabeth, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020. He was a truck driver with Waste Management in Forward Twp. and enjoyed riding quads, hanging with friends and drinking beer. Born December 12, 1982 in Upper St. Clair, he was a son of William C. (Nancy) Lacey of Elizabeth Twp. and Marlene A. (Lakovic) Lacey of Elizabeth. She is survived by her daughter, Atlas Valenti of White Oak; mother, Victoria Routt of Elizabeth; sister, Kelsey Routt of Jefferson Hills; niece, Cali Dooley of Elizabeth; maternal grandmother, Vicki Fazekas of Elizabeth; maternal grandfather, Alex Fazekas of Virginia; and uncle, Zachary Fazekas of Elizabeth. Gerald F. Koebler Jr., age 77, of Elizabeth Twp., formerly of Manor, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian. He was a retired electrician at General Motors Fisher Body in West Mifflin.
He was a Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War on the guided missile destroyer the USS Charles F. Adams DG-2. He was a friend of Bill W. and anyone else who needed someone to listen, an avid hunter and fisherman, and a master of all trades.
He was first in his class in electronics at Great Lakes Electronics in Michigan. Born April 14, 1943 in Greensburg, he was a son of the late Gerald F. Koebler Sr. and the late Alice C. (Hohman) Koebler. A graduate of Clairton High School and a member of Wilson Presbyterian Church in Clairton, Charles worked as a meat cutter, field merchandiser, and manager of both of those departments for Kroger in Mississippi and Thorofare in Pittsburgh.
