Michael Habali, age 91, of Blaine Hill, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Jefferson Hospital. He retired after 41 years as a motorman for U.S. Steel Clairton Works. Born October 9, 1929 in Clairton, he was a son of the late John and Vera (Dulonich) Habali. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Phyllis (Webb) Habali; son, Michael (Sande) Habali of Daytona Beach, FL; daughter, Linda (Dr. Michael Fontana) Fontana of White Oak; grandchildren, Kandace (Jay) Kettren of North Huntingdon, Jason (Emily) Habali of Ormond Beach, FL and Jon Habali of Florida; great-grandchildren, Taylar Getsy, Kalei Getsy, and Luke and Jacob Habali; also, nieces. Madeline C. Sporio, age 91 of Clairton, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Born October 20, 1929 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Luisa (Volpe) Macioce. A member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, Madeline joins her husband, the late Lawrence Sporio, who passed away February 1, 1993. Evelyn Brown, age 92 of Clairton, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 in Grandview Estates, Elizabeth Twp. Born February 4, 1928 in Glassport, she was a daughter of the late Albert S. and Della May (Shaheen) Green and wife for 67 years of the late Kenneth H. Brown, who passed away April 5, 2019. A devout and active member of St. George's Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral in Pittsburgh, Evelyn worked for many years as a clerk at Clairton Hardware. In her spare time, she was an avid and accomplished bowler, participating in many travelling leagues, and was a self taught seamstress who loved to sew. Evelyn is survived by her sister Della Benbow of Sanger, CA and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Helen Kislan, Alberta Miller, Salem M. Green, and Jenny Zender.

John P. Nickolich, age 93 of Clairton, passed away at home on Sunday, January 10, 2021. Born December 28, 1927 in Jefferson Hills, he was a son of the late Nick and Anna (Polovich) Nickolich. A US Army Sergeant in the Korean War, John was the former owner and proprietor of Johnny's Glass in Clairton and attended Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Clare of Assisi Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Pearl (Crisman) Nickolich and his siblings Nick Nickolich, Eva Milas, and Tom Nickolich. Born march 2, 1939 in Coulter, he was a son of the late Plummer and Estelle (McLaughlin) Shepherd. A member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, after receiving his bachelor's degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, James worked for many years as a history and government teacher for McKeesport Area School District. He was also a member of the CFU Lodge #146 and its Men's Club. James is survived by his wife Janet (Lubinski) Shepherd; his sons James L. (Heather) Shepherd of Nashport, OH and John M. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, family vacations to Ocean City, MD, and trips to the casino. She joins her husband of 42 years, the late Vincent W. DiLonardo, who passed away May 21, 2017. Sr. Rosemary Horvath, age 82 of the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 in the Motherhouse Chapel.
Born April 19, 1931 in Cleveland, OH, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Cinal) Horvath. A fifty-one year member of the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer Order, Sr. Rosemary received her parish social minister certification and was a licensed nursing home administrator.
She worked in the business office and in data processing at the Divine Redeemer Memorial Hospital, administrator of the Little Flower Manor Nursing Home, social minister of St. Bartholomew's Parish in Penn Hills and St. Anthony's Parish in Monongahela, and for nine years as Provincial Superior, then Regional Superior, for the Order.
Sr. Rosemary was always interested and cared about the aged and ill; was a true people person; began the flea market at the Divine Redeemer Motherhouse and was responsible for the telephone volunteers at the Motherhouse. She also enjoyed working with computers. Sr. Rosemary is survived by her fellow Sisters of the Divine Redeemer and her nieces Debbie and Sandy Vasko.

A self-employed barber, Mark also worked as a fireman for the City of Clairton and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, a member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Clare of Assisi Church, an avid golfer, and a big supporter of Clairton Athletics. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lillian "Kathleen" (Gorgey) Julian, who passed away March 13, 2011 and his late siblings: James, Joseph, Peter, John, and Marie Julian, Concerina Bonafortuna, Viola Contini and Dorothy and Frances Russo. Mark is survived by his children Marc (Susan) Julian of Upper St. Clair and Sharon (D.J.)
