Sergio Lazzaris, age 84 of Jefferson Hills, passed away peacefully in the presence of his family at home on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. A dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, he was born October 14, 1934 in Northern Italy (Vallada, Agordina), the son of the late Libro and Henrietta (Fiocco) Lazzaris. A skilled mason and member of the Union #9 Bricklayers, Sergio was a US Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Daniel Keffer Post #75 in Clairton. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 59 years, Elena (Marraccini) Lazzaris; his sons Dino Lazzaris of Clairton and Bruno (Diane) Lazzaris of Elizabeth Twp.; his grandchildren Vincent and Julia Lazzaris; his brother George (Franca) Lazzaris of Horsehead, NY; and his nieces and nephews. Sergio loved sharing a meal with family and friends, fine woodworking and craftsmanship, hunting with his sons and grandchildren, and playing the accordion in the company of good friends.

Born September 11, 1940 in Homestead, she was a daughter of the late Steven and Helen (Jerry) Fedor. The former owner/operator of Nancy's Hair Fashions in Brentwood, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband John Basach, who passed away December 14, 1989, and her sisters Helen Hershberger and Barbara Stocker. She is survived by her siblings Stephen (Kim) Fedor of West Mifflin, Betty Lou (Michael) Cloonan in West Mifflin, and Joseph "Bobby" (Annette) Fedor of Munhall; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friend Joan Foster.

Helen Uhrin passed away peacefully on August 29, 2019 at the age of 91 in North Huntingdon. Born in McKeesport, March 25, 1928, she was the daughter of Phillip and Mary (Lacey) Riley. She was a lifelong resident of the McKeesport area, spent many years in Versailles Borough, and co-owned Eddie’s TV with her late husband, Ed, who passed away May 31, 2006. Charles Joseph Emert was born March 3, 1933 and passed on August 21, 2019 at Mt. Vernon of South Park. Chuck graduated from Central Catholic High School and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He also went to the University of Utah where he received a master’s degree in science. Chuck could tell you anything you wanted to know about the Periodic Table. He was a nuclear physicist at Bettis Atomic Power Lab where he built nuclear reactors for submarines. He retired in 2001 due to family complications. He spent his free time as a cantor at St. Isaac Jogues Church and was a photographer for their services like Communion and confirmations. He was an avid photographer, a great chef, and an astronomer. Chuck leaves behind a loving family including his wife, Mary Ann Emert, his stepchildren, step-grandchildren, nephews, and some close family friends. Visitation will be at the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth, on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 10 AM until the time of a blessing service at 11 AM with Fr. Bud Falkenhan officiating.
