He was also a member of the East McKeesport Masonic Lodge #765 of Duquesne, the North Huntingdon AARP, a lifetime member of the Central Volunteer Fire Company, and was a former civil service coordinator in Elizabeth Twp. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing dart ball at Central Highlands.

Charles Allan “Magoo” McGogney, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. A Class of 1956 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School, he served in the U.S. Army, 11th Air Assault Division, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was self-employed in commercial floor maintenance. He enjoyed fishing at Lake Pymatuning, watching baseball and football games, western movies, and listening to a wide variety of music from the 1960s and ’70s, especially country western music and the rock groups The Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Always passionate about food, his favorite meal was Thanksgiving dinner. His favorite pastime was congregating with all his buddies at the local coffee shops throughout the years. Best known for his comical sense of humor, there was never a dull moment in his company. The younger generation loved learning about his philosophies of life. He had such a heart of gold and was so compassionate toward those less fortunate in life.

Stefan, Michaela Stefan, and Alyssa (Dale) Morgele; her great-grandchildren Avery Pearl and Allyson Rose Holtz, Alora Faye Morgele, and Anthony James DeArmitt; her brother David (Mary) Calabro; and also nieces, nephews, and cousins.
