Robert (Bob) Thomas Sedor, age 65, of Beaufort, SC and formerly of Clairton, passed away on November 25, 2022, of sudden health complications while in hospital in Beaufort, SC. Born November 23,1957 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Paul Sedor, Sr. and mother Margaret (Seman) Sedor. Bob grew up in Clairton and attended Clairton High School. He acquired the nickname “Seymour” during his teen years and many people only knew him by that name and still use it today. During the summers of his last few years of High School he took advantage of that time and worked at a pizza shop in Atlantic City where he was welcomed back yearly. It wouldn’t be the last time he enjoyed being a short order cook as he relished the opportunity later in life, taking a position as a part time cook while living in White Haven, PA. His real passion, and main line of work as a contractor and skilled craftsman led him to reside in several locations from Pittsburgh to Georgia, to the Pocono’s and back down south to Beaufort, SC, where he settled into an area he seemed to love most. He was happiest using his hands and talents to do construction, build homes and do carpentry work. From reading the blueprints, ordering materials, framing, and finishing, he excelled and enjoyed the opportunities to share his talents and enthusiasm with clients and family. In addition to those skills, he had most recently been operating multiple furniture stores in both the Pocono area and in Beaufort, SC, with his wife, Maggie. In remembering Bob, these are a few heartfelt comments from friends and family that echo his personality. Comments such as, “I loved his cooking”, “My favorite times were working with him as general contractors for HUD/URA”, “He was my mentor and always had my back”, “I am going to miss our conversations over breakfast and road trips”, “His construction knowledge and talent is something I will always brag about”, “What fun we had growing up as cousins and living so close together”, are just a few of the many cherished memories and thoughts from those who loved him and will continue to keep him alive in their hearts. Besides his father, Paul Sedor Sr, Bob was preceded in death by his then wife Susan (Thomas) Sedor, mother to their daughter Julia Rose Sedor, on November 22, 1991. He is survived by his wife Margaret “Maggie” McDevitt of Beaufort, SC; his mother Margaret Rose (Seman) Sedor of Clairton; daughter Julia Rose Sedor of Hazleton, PA; adopted children Destiny, Raymond and Sincere; siblings Paul (Janet) Sedor Jr, Margaret “Peggy” (Kevin) Sedor-Sparks, and Stephen Sedor; also, many nieces and nephews.
