Diane E. Brooks, age 67 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 in UPMC McKeesport.  Born July 15, 1954 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Madeline (Frankovich) Gross.  A dispatcher and paramedic for Mon Valley 911 amongst others, Diane retired as a parking lot attendant with Parking Solutions at Jefferson Hospital.  In her spare time, she was a member of Pennsembles, the CFU Lodge #3 of Versailles, and the Lincoln Borough VFD.  Diane is survived by her husband of 43 years Robert C. Brooks; her children Dawn Brooks of McKeesport and Matthew Brooks of East McKeesport; her grandchildren Kaylee, Austin, Madalynn, Charles, Chad, Tyler, and Sierra; and her great-grandchild Nolan.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother John Gross and her uncle Richard Medved.

Huntingdon, passed away January 24, 2022 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.  She was born, May 19, 1946 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Parker Thomas and Stella (Turchy) Chalmers.  Prior to her retirement, Rosemary worked as a replenishment manager for Ames with 28 years of service.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Beynon; daughter, Pamela Rose Beynon; and brother, Thomas Chalmers.  She is survived by her sons, John Beynon and his wife, Amy, Donald Beynon; brother, Jerry (Jan) Chalmers; sister, Mary Kay Chalmers; grandchildren, John "J.T" Beynon, Ella Rose Beynon and Emily Mannke.  Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8  p.m. on Friday at the James W. Dorothy “Dot” A. Freidhof, 90, of N. Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at UPMC East.  She was born July 5, 1931 in Braddock, a daughter of the late Wilbert and Anna (Tirpak) Park.  Prior to her retirement, Dorothy was a registered nurse at the Presbyterian Home in Oakmont.  She was a member of St. Agnes Parish and enjoyed doing word search puzzles, crossword puzzles, activities at Juniper Village at Monroeville, dancing, listening to oldies music and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Freidhof.  She is survived by her son, William Freidhof and his wife, Kathy; daughters, Karen Lyons and her husband, Ken, and Cindy Lohr; grandchildren, Jay Lohr, Richard (Heather) Lohr, Kristen (Joe) Novak, Kelsey (Ryan) Dufault, Conner Freidhof, Claire Freidhof; great-granchildren, Ethan Lohr, Andrew Lohr, and arriving soon, Baby Brooks Dufault.  Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the James W. (Vergot) Dormihal.  A US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War era, John worked as an ambulance driver for both CH Transcare and Community Life.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years Anna Marie (Rupcic) Dormihal, his children Stephanie (Sean) Cammarata of Swisshelm Park and Nicholas Dormihal of Buena Vista, and many cousins.  Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister Betty Dormihal.

Rhoda E. (Swaney) Sedlock, age 92, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in the comfort of her home and her children. Rhoda’s greatest joy in life was her family and being Grams to her grandchildren and Great Grams to her great grandchildren. She was well known over the years by family and friends for her lady locks and nut rolls. She was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate fan and knew all the players’ names and statistics and always looked forward to spring training and that first televised game. Born August 1, 1929 in Haydentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Orville Swaney and Marie (Hefner) Swaney. Preceded in death in 2016 by her loving husband of 65 years of marriage, Walter J. Sedlock, she is survived by a son, Walter (Susan) Sedlock of Greensburg, PA.; daughters, Diane (Eric) Olsen of Billings, MT and Joyce (Dennis) Marburger of Stewartstown, PA.; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Swaney and her sister, Margaret Rhodes. She was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Township. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Joseph Rymarowicz, Jr., 72 of Glassport, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022. He was born February 14, 1949 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Joseph J. and Mary Jane (Yandrlic) Rymarowicz. Joe served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a part of the 1098th Transportation Company. Afterwards, he worked for Mercury Printing Company as a Printer. He attended First Evangelical Free Church for the past 40 years. Over those 40 years, he was a Cook for their Teen Ministries retreats, Men's retreats, and for any of the special breakfasts that the church hosted. After retirement, Joe became a part time delivery driver for Breitinger's Flower Shop and would help the church with any maintenance work that was needed.

Shawn Eric Teamann, 55, of North Huntingdon, was greeted in heaven by his parents Lois and Joseph Teamann on January 20, 2022. He was born February 4, 1966 in Portsmouth, VA. Those that knew Shawn knew him as one of the kindest, most patient and giving people they had met.  He was a faithful man who loved our Lord, his family, his church, and his community. As a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Shawn served as Eucharistic Minister until his illness. He was a fan of The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins, loved taking his dog Piper for long walks, and enjoyed family vacations to Sandbridge. Shawn had a successful career as a retail manager, most recently with DSW Shoes. In October of 2020, Shawn was diagnosed with T-Cell Prolymphocytic Leukemia (T-PLL), an incredibly rare and aggressive form of cancer. He had a stem cell transplant on October 28, 2021 with his sister being his donor. Shawn fought hard but his body just couldn’t beat the battle. He leaves behind his wife Cheryl (Twigger), sister Deborah Teamann, sons Stephen (Christina) and Nathan Torok, grandchildren Abbey, Lily and Zack, mother-in-law Pat Twigger, brother-in-law George Twigger, nieces, nephews and many cousins. Shawn’s family wishes to thank Dr. Jing-Zhou Hou and his staff, Hillman Cancer Center 4th floor, and Shadyside Hospital 6th floor West for their compassionate care of Shawn. Mary Smiley, 66, of McKeesport, was born March 10, 1955, in Birmingham, Alabama She was the beloved daughter to Ethel Smiley. She was raised in Chicago, Illinois, and later moved to McKeesport where she lived for the last 22 years. Mary departed this life on January 2, 2022, at UPMC McKeesport. She was preceded in death by her mother. She leaves behind so many families and friends that she truly loved. Anyone that ever met her loved her from the start. "Jerry" Olack, age 83, of Liberty Borough, died January 19, 2022, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital.  Born July 9, 1938, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Mary (Cverna) Olack and husband of the late Carol (Thompson) Olack.  Jerry was a member of the former Blue Rock Club, Jack Ham Dobre Shunka Fan Club, and the Port Vue Athletic Association.  He was active in many local bowling leagues and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.  He is survived by his significant other for over 30 years Sally Williams; children, Cindy Olack, Shelley (Jim) Supinsky, Joe (Marianne) Olack, Tim "Stitch" (Barb) Olack, and Jerome "J.J." Olack, Jr., all of Port Vue; grandchildren, Joseph Olack, Bill Stearns, Sami Olack, Mandi Olack, D.J. She was a member of the Norwin Community Group and a supporter of White Oak Animal Safe Haven. She loved dogs and enjoyed gardening and camping. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Thomas J. Palmer Jr. She is survived by her niece and nephews Deborah Patane of Tampa, FL, Thomas J Palmer of West Jefferson, NC, and David J. Palmer of Irwin, also great nieces and nephews, a great great nephew, cousins, and many friends.
