Ronald G. Lovrich Sr., age 87, of Forward Twp., passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021 at Jefferson Hospital. An Army veteran, he was self-employed at Rondell Coal Co. in Forward Twp. and was a workaholic until the day he died. Born May 6, 1934 in Monongahela, he was a son of the late Nickolas and Stella (Schuse) Lovric and husband of the late Loretta Jean (Rusnak) Lovrich. He is survived by children, Ronald G. (Tracy) Lovrich Jr. of Forward Twp., Rhonda (Kevin) Blazer of Forward Twp. and Laura (John) Beluschak of Fredricktown; and grandson, Nickolas Lovrich of Forward Twp. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by siblings, Mildred Isaac and Nicklas Lovrick. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Born October 27, 1989 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of Patrick J. (Beth Courson) Clymire of Parker and Michele Clinton (David) Bendel of Elizabeth. Mary E. Opfer, age 94, of Union Twp. passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Kastan Uveges VFW Post 7632 in Blaine Hill and enjoyed playing bingo. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. Born August 28, 1926 in Elizabeth Twp., she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Bessie (Wilson) Werner and wife of the late Theodore C. Opfer. She is survived by daughter, Selina M. Jones of Finleyville; son, Albert T. Opfer of Ipswich, England; grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim Nagy) Jones of Elrama, C. She was a graduate of Slippery Rock University and a retired manager for Verizon in Pittsburgh. Born April 26, 1961 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Donald T. and Alberta (Barchie) Dulac. She was also preceded in death by her partner and best friend, Paul E. Bekavac and their beloved dog Annie. Teri is survived by her brothers, Don (Ele) Dulac of Franklin Park, Bob (Lori) Dulac of Hampton, Jim Dulac of McKeesport, and Gerry (Barb) Dulac of Robinson Twp.; nieces and nephews, Matt, Nick, Madeline, and Maggie Dulac; also, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School, he was a window installer for 25 years for JLF Installation in Apollo, which he recently took over. Born May 2, 1977 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of J. Joyce Anne (Ward) Mitro, age 79 of Conneaut Lake and formerly of Clairton, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 in Hilton Head Regional Hospital in Hilton Head, SC.  Born April 27, 1942 in Clairton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas N. and Anna M. (Flynn) Ward.  A 1960 graduate of Clairton High School and attendee of Robert Morris College, Joyce retired as a secretary for K&L Gates Law Firm in Pittsburgh.  She was also a member of the American Legion Post #462 and on the Board of Directors for the V.F.D. #5, both of Conneaut Lake.  Joyce is survived by her husband of 40 years Raymond M. Mitro; her children Raymond J. (Jacqueline) Mitro of Hilton Head, SC and Renee Beth (Daniel) Dye of Houston, TX; her grandchildren  Sarah Beth and John Dye and Brittany Mitro; her brother Gerald (Linda) Ward of Clairton; sister-in-law Ida Ward of Clairton; and also many nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Thomas M, J. An Army veteran during the Korean War and a ham radio operator, he was a technician with Bush Radio, a retired avionics technician with Beckett Aviation in West Mifflin, and a retired superintendent at Davis Industries in Rostraver Twp. Born January 19, 1933 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Frank J. and Catherine (Gross) Bour. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley M. (Smith) Bour; daughters, Diane (Dean Sr.) Korber of West Newton, Robin (David) Wagner of Butler, Jacquline (Raymond) Sammartino of Erie and Linda (Patrick) Buono of Finleyville; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Dolores Betler of South Carolina and Mildred (John) Pearson of Florida; also, nieces and nephews. Elizabeth "Betty" V. Uremovich, age 86, of Elrama, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at home. She retired as a secretary in the insurance industry and was a former cook at Lawson’s Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church in Jefferson Hills and a member of Elrama Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. Born April 25, 1935 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Veronica (Haluska) Gorgey and wife of the late George F. Uremovich. She is survived by daughters, Karen (Dr. Brian) Rizzo of Glendale, AZ and Beth Henderson of Finleyville; son, George N. Uremovich of Elrama; grandchildren, Sasha and Rachelle Henderson, Tyler, Zachary, Daniella and Gabriela Rizzo, and Nicholas, Steven and Shannon Uremovich; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Taylor Walker; also, nieces and nephews. Ruth E. (Lightfoot) Smith, age 80, of Clairton, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at home. She retired as a nurses aide at Locust Grove in West Mifflin. She lived an exciting life as the wife whose husband was in the Air Force for 22 years. She started her career as a general nurse before working as a nurses aide and activities director. She loved her pets and loved to walk her dog and converse with the neighbors. Born August 24, 1940 in Bedford, England, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Winifred (Rudd) Lightfoot. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Howard J. Smith Jr.; son, Dean (Kathy) Smith of Glassport; daughter, Cheri (Tim) Smith-Dworek of Elizabeth; granddaughter, Courtney (Bill) Smith of Munhall; stepgranddaughter, Tiffany (Kana) Moy of Delmont; stepgrandson, Timmy Dworek of Sutersville; step great-granddaughters, Aliya, Audrey and Grace; her brother Mark (Lynn) Lightfoot of Bedford, UK; and also, numerous nieces and nephews in England as well as nieces and nephews on the Smith side and residing in the United States. Friends will be received in the Paul E. John Rosko, age 95 of Clairton, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 in Arden Courts, Jefferson Hills,  Born May 3, 1926 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late George and Mary (Itnatoila) Rosko.  A US Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II, John was a member of Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church of Clairton.  John retired as an engineer at Bettis Atomic in West Mifflin and also worked at both Old Overholt Distillery in Large and as a policeman for the City of Clairton.  He is survived by his wife of 71 years Martha P. (Geletko) Rosko; his children David J. (Sarah Young) Rosko of Phillipsburg, Kathleen (Frank) Rosko Book of Edinsburg, Linda J. (Thomas) O'Brian of Bethel Park, and Robert J. (Michele Vogel) Rosko of Lake Ariel; his grandchildren Matthew Rosko, Alexis Vesper, Erin (Christopher) Bruno, Lyndsay (Robert) Ward, Kirsten Book, Patrick and Sean O'Brian, and Meghan Rosko; his great-grandchildren J.J., Bennett, Adrian, Joey, Norah, and Roman; and also nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, John is preceded in death by his siblings Peter and George Rosko and Mary Pasinsky, and a grandson Brendan.

Elyes, age 92 of White Oak, passed away at home on Monday, May 31, 2021.  Born April 6, 1929 in Clarksville, she was a daughter of the late Steven and Mary (Grgas) Barnish.  A retired waitress at Woody's Restaurant in Versailles, Frances was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish - St. Patrick's Church, the CFU Lodge #146 of Versailles, and its Ladies' Club.  She joins her husband, the late Charles J. Elyes, who passed away August 31, 2018.  Frances is survived by her children Karen (Greg) Rybar of White Oak and Charles E. (Donna) Elyes of Versailles; her grandchildren Matthew (Amy) and Christopher (Cassie) Elyes, Jennifer (Robert) Dailey, and Jessica Matthews; and also her seven great-grandchildren.

Charles C. "Duke" Tullius

Charles Coleman “Duke” Tullius, age 87 and formerly of Clairton and Elizabeth, passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 29, 2021 after a long illness.  Born December 20, 1933 in Clairton to the late Edward and Barbara (Mulkerin) Tullius, Duke was a proud 1952 graduate of Clairton High School.  He served in the US Army at Fort Hood, TX where he was a tank commander.  Returning to Clairton, Duke married his high school sweetheart, Gail E. Decima in 1956.  He retired from U.S. Steel Corporation in the engineering department then worked for the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council as a program director.  Duke was a long time parishioner of Holy Spirit Church in West Mifflin where he led members in Contemplative Prayer with guidance from Fr. Thomas Keating.  Duke was an ardent Pittsburgh Pirate and Steeler fan.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, and was a Little League baseball coach for many years. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Gail E. (Decima) Tullius; daughter Susan (Win) Ziders; son Dr. Charles D. (Michelle) Tullius; grandchildren Matthew (Jaclyn) Ziders, Patrick (Stephanie) Ziders, Capt. David (Philine) Tullius, Claire (Jeremy) Harris; was the loving "Great Pap" to Olivia, Katie, Elaina, Jonathan, Annie, Ailey, Lucas, and Maisie; brother-in-law to Sylvia Tullius; and is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Duke was preceded in death by daughter Barbara A. Tullius, sisters Jane (Wayne) Shaw and Barbara (Marvin) Owens, and brother James Tullius.
