Mary J. King, age 91, of McKeesport, died on Saturday, July 24, 2021. She was born in Waynesburg, PA on September 6, 1929, and is the daughter of the late John and Mabel Williams Warren. She was the wife of the late William King, who died on July 19, 2020. Mary was a homemaker and a member of the former Immanuel United Presbyterian Church, now McKeesport Presbyterian Church. She was also the co-owner, along with her husband, of King’s Rent-All of McKeesport.

Margaret “Marge” L. Valoon Osterman, age 97 and 11 months, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Port Vue, died Thursday, July 22, 2021 of natural causes at The Grove Skilled Nursing Facility in North Huntingdon. She was born in McKeesport on August 17, 1923 and is the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Josephine Edwards Valoon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Leonard W. Osterman, who died on March 28, 2000; sisters, Ruth Dressler; Joanne Wisser; and brother, Jack Valoon. Margaret leaves behind a large, loving family which includes her daughter, Carol (Richard) Andrews of Greensburg; sons, Jack (Patricia) Osterman of North Huntingdon; Robert (Stacey) Osterman of Port Vue; James (Sharon) Osterman of Harrisburg; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a niece and nephews.

He was employed by Styletone Painting in Port Vue, the Markantone Painting Company in E. Pgh., and for many years was the proud owner of Southside Painting. He was a lifelong member of the West Mifflin #3 Volunteer Fire Company.

Francis “Fran” Patrick passed away suddenly on Friday, June 18th, 2021. He was born on January 11, 1944 in Clairton, PA, and is the son of the late Frank and Lila Thomas Patrick. Fran resided and raised his family in Dravosburg, PA, then in November of 2020 Fran achieved his goal of retiring in Florida with his wife, Regina, and his son, Addam and his family.

He was an electrical designer by trade and had a superior work ethic. He was a junior fire fighter and a lifelong member of Dravosburg Volunteer Fire Department.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 40 years and was past Grand Knight of Council 4210 Duquesne/West Mifflin, past Faithful Navigator of the Stephen P. Parry Assembly and District Treasurer of Master Sean Petriscko.

Tkac, age 74, of White Oak, died on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in McKeesport on January 2, 1947, and is the son of the late John and Beatrice (Barco) Tkac.  He was a Route Manager with Distributors and Dealers for 30 years.  Then worked with Comnet at the airport until “9-11” happened and he was laid off and then retired.  He was a lifetime member of the White Oak #1 Volunteer Fire Department which during that time he served as a past president and fire chief.  He volunteered with his son, John “JP” and then his daughter, Victoria also joined… whom with Paul have a combined community service of 75 years.
