Patricia (Chonko) Bucy, age 81 of West Elizabeth, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Jefferson Hospital. She loved building puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. Born in Duquesne on April 11, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Marion (Koontz) Chonko. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Carl Bucy, Sr., and four siblings, Ester, Virginia, Joellen, and Timothy. She is survived by three daughters, Patty A. (the late Larry) Vargo of Ohio, Sheila R. Martin of Jefferson Hills, Jennifer L. (Gary) Radey of Ohio; two sons, Richard C. Bucy, Jr. of West Elizabeth and Thomas A. (Ashley) Bucy of West Elizabeth; seven grandchildren, Frank Lewis, Samantha Martin, Danielle Holt, Holly Dansak, Felicia Martin, Pamela and Mark Martin; 16 great-grandchildren, Carl, Owen, Chad, Beau, Cody, Natalie, Carley, Shawn, Alaina, Damien, Ellie, Emma, Alex, Maddie, Juniper, and Elijah; three siblings, Ona (Mark) Horgas, James (Marie) Chonko, and Ruth Pisko; also nieces and nephews. Gary Cole "Stimy" Dingeldine, age 77, of McKeesport, died at home on January 18, 2025.  Born April 19, 1947, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late George and Helen Dingeldine and the loving husband of Sherry Dingeldine for 49 years.
He was known for his adventurous spirit, exemplified by his love for riding his Harley Davidson and interest in classic cars.  Gary often found joy in his garage, where he spent countless hours surrounded by friends.

Paul R. Rankin, 67, of Chippewa Twp. PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his beloved family on January 24th, 2025.

Paul was born on April 2nd, 1957 in McKeesport, PA. He is preceded in death by his parents William L. Rankin and Doris Payne Rankin Chojnacki (Bernard Chojnacki); his sister, Karen L. Rankin; brother, William "Bill" L. Rankin (Ruth Rankin and son Paul); and his stepbrother, Michael S. Chojnacki.

Paul was a retired employee of the Duquesne Light/First Energy company, where he worked in the Mechanical Maintenance Department for 40 years. He was an exceptionally hard worker and forged strong friendships with a supportive crew.

Paul leaves behind his wife Rhonda J. (Lutz) Rankin, and his four children Rob (Cailin) Rankin, Natalie (Andrew Berwyn) Rankin, Dylan (Katie Lane) Rankin, and Megan (Matt Deighton) Rankin, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He enjoyed each day with his family, whether on camping adventures, fishing trips, or simply cooking comfort foods in the warmth of his kitchen or grilling on a sunny day. Paul was happiest surrounded by his wife and children, and overjoyed when he became the best PopPop to his granddaughters Aria M. Berwyn and Georgia J. Rankin.

Known for his dry sense of humor and quick wit, Paul's booming laugh could be heard all around. He provided well for his family, was never afraid of a hard day's work, and instilled that devotion and love in his children. He had a kind heart and was an animal lover. He found companionship with his three cats, Auggie, Ollie, and Ralphie, and often perused animal rescue websites in order to find a new friend.

Paul built a wonderful life and created an incredible family who will carry on his traditions, recipes, jokes, legacy, and his name.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Thursday, January 30th from 4pm until the time of services at 7pm in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME- 117 Blackhawk Rd., Chippewa Twp. Pastor Allan Brooks will officiate.

Paul has asked that in lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Beaver County Humane Society or Animal Friends where he adopted two of his feline best friends.

Lawrence A. “Larry” Vash, age 69, of West Mifflin, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Born in Homestead, PA, on March 20, 1955, he was the son of the late Albert and Margaret (Moriarty) Vash. He was a retired crane man from Bristol Metals, a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-St. Therese Church, and a life member of the Homeville Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing.

Larry is the husband of Mary Ann (Bucek) Vash; father of Michael (Kathy) Vash of Roscoe, PA and Craig Vash (Lori Campbell) of West Mifflin; grandfather of Grace, Jacob, Emma, Gavin and Dominic Vash; and brother of Verda (Stephen) Mastandrea of West Mifflin, Cathy (Gerald) Noga of West View, PA and the late Alberta Vash.

Dolores E. Halas, 88 of North Huntingdon passed away January 25, 2025 at Transitions Health Care, North Huntingdon. She was born October 21, 1936 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late George and Julia Lovas Jacob. Dolores was a member of the First Evangelical Free Church in Mckeesport. She was a member of the Markvue Manor Women's Club, a tour guide for AARP 3221 of North Huntingdon and the Red Hats Society. Dolores was crowned Miss Magyar (Miss Hungary) in 1955. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband William M. in 2023, brother George Jacob and a sister, Marie Varga. She is survived by two sons, Scott Halas (Lisa) of Penn Township , Mark Halas of Mt. Pleasant, two grandchildren, Brandon Halas (Susi) and Danielle Boger (William), two great grandchildren, Oliver and Benjamin. a sister in law Joyce Jacob and numerous nieces and nephew. Larry Cuturilo, age 80 of North Huntingdon, passed away on January 24, 2025.  He was born on June 22, 1944 in  McKeesport, a son of the late Elia Cuturilo and Sadie Yanatovic Cuturilo.  Larry graduated from McKeesport High School in the Class of 1963, and he went on to serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  Prior to his retirement, Larry was employed by the Pittsburgh Port Authority as a bus driver with over 25 years of experience.  Larry was a member of the McKeesport Sportsmen's Association, and he loved to fish.  He also enjoyed weight lifting, watching Pittsburgh sports, and traveling to Deep Creek.  Most of all, Larry was known as a jokester and he cherished the time spent with his family.  In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by three brothers, Nicholas, Milton, and Eli, and four sisters, Eva, Dorothy, Pearl and Mary.  He is survived by two sons, Brian (and wife Julie) Cuturilo, and Drew Cuturilo (and Marianne), one daughter, Trish Sichko (and husband Scott), five grandchildren, Sadie Cuturilo, Madelynn Cuturilo, Brian (Rachael) Sichko, Alexa Steele (Chad), and Nicholas (Rachel) Sichko, two great-grandchildren, Nolan and Jovie, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received at the James W. Chalfont, age 94 and formerly of Jefferson Hills, Wednesday, January 22, 2025 in McMurray Hills Manor.  Born November 17, 1930 in Duquesne, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Jessie (Mowry) Harclerode.  Norma's life was filled with faith, music and service to others.  She was a long-time member of the former Grace United Church of Christ in Duquesne, where she was an organist, and worked as a salesperson for Fashion Hosiery in Pleasant Hills.  She was also the director of Clairton Meals on Wheels for more than thirty years.  Norma loved spending summers camping with her family at Laurel Mountain Campground in Donegal.

Louis John Floris, Jr., age 56, of McKeesport, died January 15, 2025, at home. Born June 20, 1968, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Louis John Floris and Louise Catherine (Conners) Floris Atkins.
Louis was a retired auto-body technician. He was a member of the Italian Brotherhood of Guffey of Irwin, Owls Club of Buena Vista, Hartford Heights VFD, and the White Oak American Legion. Louis had a passion for riding motorcycles and working on them. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, and loved animals.
Louis is survived by his son, Brandon Suncine, Sr. of Jeannette; grandchildren, Brandon, Jr. and McKenzie; brother, Michael (Sandy Martin) Floris of West Mifflin; niece, Taylor; nephew, Michael; many cousins; special friend, Ducky Wiggins; extended family and friends.

Margaret Ferencz Gegick of North Huntingdon died on January 21, 2025. She was born on September 22, 1924, daughter of Elizabeth and George Ferencz. She was a homemaker. Margaret loved to dance and frequented the Herminie Senior Center. She was a member of St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church. Margaret is preceded in death by all of her siblings and her husband, Albert. Jace M. Younge, age 65, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital. He retired after 33 years as a correctional officer for Allegheny County and was a former vice president of the Allegheny County Prison Employee Independent Union. He was also a former employee of the Elizabeth Forward School District and a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Twp. He loved God, hunting, football, gardening, cooking, carpentry, going to his cabin, and being outdoors. But most of all he loved his wife, children and grandchildren, and doing things for them to make their life better each day. His unselfish, giving, loving nature will always be missed. Born December 18, 1959 in Homestead, he was a son of the late Robert and Geraldine (Zuger) Younge. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lori (Neyman) Younge; children, Kayla (Michael) Hutchison of Elizabeth Twp., Dane Younge and Dillon Younge, both of Belle Vernon; grandchildren, Lane, Lake, Myka and Montana; siblings, Roberta (Carmen) Costa of Bethel Park, Joe Younge of Greenock and Bernadette (Rob) Todero of Elizabeth Twp.; also, nieces and nephews. Kenneth Maynard Wriston, 86, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025. He was born in Fayetteville, WV on February 1, 1938 to the late Glenna Wriston. Also, the husband of the late Geraldine (Atkins) Wriston, they were married almost 60 years before her passing in 2018. An Army Veteran, Ken served from 1956-1958, during peace time. He was awarded the Sharpshooter Expert Rifle Medal. One memory that he has shared was that he served alongside Elvis Presley, still carrying a small keepsake to share. After he was discharged, he worked many jobs through the years, but mainly as a truck driver. Before retiring, he worked for the McKeesport School District as a warehouse truck driver, delivering supplies to the schools. He had two passions in life - driving, and old school country music. He was born in West Virgina, but family had moved down the coast to Florida and eventually back up here to Pennsylvania where him & his wife followed. He is survived by his daughters, Geraldine "Geri" Haines of Erie, and Barbara "Barb" Dittman of Greenock; grandsons, Henry Dittman, Jr. of North Huntingdon, and Kevin Haines of Erie; a sister, Donna Treet of DeFuniak Springs, FL.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his mom and wife, Ken is preceded in death by his siblings, Frank, John Adam, Fred, Arlene, and Francis.
