Mark Mattis, 67, passed away on January 28, 2026. Mark was born in Braddock, PA on February 4, 1958. He was the son of Thomas Mattis Sr. and Rose Marie Mattis. Mark is survived by his beloved wife Michelle Mattis. He was also a proud father to Elyse Mattis. He was a brother to Thomas (Sharon) Mattis Jr., Joseph Mattis, and James (Tammy) Mattis Sr. Mark is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mark is preceded in death by his mother Rose, father Thomas, and his sister Judy (Jim) Pavlinsky Rogers. Mark was a devoted employee of UPMC for 47 years, and enjoyed hunting.

Loretta Crawford, 85, of McKeesport, died Tuesday, January 20, 2026 in Riverside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, McKeesport. She was born August 7, 1940 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late James and Florence (Pucci) Godine and was also preceded in death by her sister Carole Jabbour. She is survived by her husband Roy J. Crawford; her children Kelly Crawford and Roy J. Crawford Jr. and his wife Suni, and a grandson James R. Crawford. At Loretta’s request there will be no viewing. Lester Alan Greenwood

Lester Alan Greenwood was born May 5th, 1950. He was the son of the late George and Mary Greenwood. He departed this life peacefully on January 21st, 2026.

He graduated from West Newton High School in 1968. Lester had a diverse work history. He worked in the Detroit car manufacturing industry, worked as a coal miner, OTR (over the road) driver, a heavy equipment operator, and a welder in the iron industry. After retiring, he worked as a jitney driver. He was fondly known as "Cowboy."

Patricia Ann Wooten Battle, 70, of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, departed this life peacefully on January 26, 2026, at Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills, PA.

She was born March 28, 1955, in McKeesport, PA. She was the beloved daughter, of the late Glearn Wooten and Charolette “Tootsy” Wooten Jackson; She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Louis Battle, and brother, Ronald Wooten; grandparents John & Jane Bradshaw and Obediah and Susie Wooten.

Patricia, affectionately known as “Patty” was a graduated of Duquesne High School Class of 1973. She was employed at Mercy hospital in Pittsburgh, PA in the dietary department. Patty was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Torrey and the Pastors that came hereafter.

Lois Mae Logan, 95, of McKeesport, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 13, 1930 in Buena Vista and was the daughter of the late Frank and Annie Elizabeth (Davis) Mains.  Lois was a member of Beulah Park Methodist Church since 1955 and involved with The Eastern Star and Amerath.  Lois worked as a seamstress for the former Pam's Bridal in McKeesport and would also go on to work in retail sales for the former Ame's, Zayre's and Gee Bee stores. She never stopped being a seamstress, she made many wedding gowns throughout her life. She also enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint and made afghan blankets for almost every single one of her family members and was making Christmas Doilies up until this January! Lois owned her home for 75 years. She moved away for a short time, but kept her home. She returned to her home in 1992 and would call her home "the house of many faces" due to all the changes with remodeling through the 75 years of owning her home.  Her family was blessed with being able to enjoy her last Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years with Lois, a time they will cherish forever. Lois loved her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Eric Joseph Poliziani, 66, of Elizabeth Township passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026. He was born in Pittsburgh on October 4, 1959 to Jildo Joseph Poliziani, and the late Linda Grace (Marks) Poliziani. Eric was a great guy, with a comedic personality - always funny, witty, and charismatic. He enjoyed working on cars, and was a big sports fan. He also loved trips to the beach, and Vegas. A genuine friend to many, and will definitely be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Sherry L. (Davis) Poliziani; his children, Blake Poliziani of New Kensington, Justin Bowman of Elizabeth Township, and Jenny (Stuart) Lovett of Mars; siblings, Mark (Ann) Poliziani of Crafton, Donna Poliziani of Green Tree, and Robert Poliziani of Green Tree; and numerous cousins. Shirley J. Coulter, age 73, of McKeesport, died January 24, 2026 at UPMC Shadyside. Born September 25, 1952, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Ike and Janet Newhouse, wife of the late Timothy Coulter, and life partner of Michael Miller.

Shirley was a dedicated caregiver who retired from the former Sunrise Assisted Living of Monroeville, where she touched the lives of many with her compassion and kindness. Known for her warm smile and captivating storytelling, Shirley had a remarkable ability to entertain and turn the simplest moments into memories. In the summer, she loved sitting outside, taking in the sunshine. She found great joy in playing cards, often gathering with friends and family to share in friendly competition.

He was the husband of 54 years to the late Charlotte J. (Jones) Abramovitz, who passed away November 6, 2025.  Sheldon grew up in Squirrel Hill and attended Taylor Allderdice High School and Point Park College. He spent his career in industrial supply sales, and later working for the Pittsburgh Transportation Group. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and was an avid sports fan, always rooting for his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams. He will be greatly missed.

Robert “Bobby” Gene Hough, 62, of Clairton, formerly of Lincoln Place, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Jefferson Hospital. He was born in Pittsburgh on March 29, 1963, to Robert J. Hough and Virginia M. Rhodes Brunson. Robert was the loving husband of Barb Williams Hough for 10 years. He is survived by his parents, Robert J. Hough of Squirrel Hill and Virginia M. Rhodes Brunson of Clairton, wife, Barb Williams Hough of Clairton, daughter, Amber (Glenn) Tobias of Glassport, son Matthew Hough of Clairton, sister Margaret McDaniel of Tennessee, brother Dean (Keri) Hough of New York, grandsons Shawn Wehrer and Eric Wehrer, nephews Ryan McDaniel of Tennessee, Dakota Hough and Logan Hough of New York, and great-granddaughter Ellie Wehrer. Robert was preceded in death by grandmother, Virginia Rhodes, and beloved German Shepherd, Gonchar. Robert was a longtime employee of Murn Inc. in Glassport, PA, from which he retired, and formerly worked for the City of Pittsburgh Public Works Department. He was a member of the Army Reserve, where he earned a sharpshooter award, and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lincoln Place. He enjoyed working on cars, gardening, especially sunflowers, loved feeding hummingbirds, and he was always smiling. He will be missed by all. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. John F. Lalor

John F. Lalor, age 75, of Swissvale, passed away peacefully, in the presence of his family, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, after a valiant, five year battle against cancer. Born in Braddock, PA on March 27, 1950, he was the son of the late Harry C. and Betsy (Jacko) Lalor. He grew up in Duquesne and, after graduating from Duquesne High School in 1969, he went to work at U.S. Steel-Duquesne Works until it’s closure. He then went to work for Urban Construction in North Versailles doing brick and block work. He was Catholic by faith, liked scratch-off tickets, going shopping and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. 

John is the father of Lisa Broadwater of Duquesne, Shawn Broadwater of Lincoln Place, and Justin Lalor of Duquesne. He is survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and is the brother of Harry (Mary) Lalor of North Huntingdon and Dianne (Gregory) Nemchick of Greensburg.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 2-7 p.m., at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. Charlotte A. Michaleski, age 82 of Herminie, passed away on January 31, 2026. She was born on October 20, 1943 in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Sylvester Mickanin and Irene Balego Mickanin. Prior to her retirement, Charlotte worked on an assembly line at a manufacturing shop. She was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her first husband, Steven R. Jurick, her second husband, Chester Michaleski, and one brother, Sylvester Mickanin. She is survived by three sons, Michael Jurick, Ronald Jurick (wife Rae), and C.J. Michaleski (wife Ashley), daughter-in-law, Tina Jurick, five grandchildren, Melissa Rivera (husband Alex), Maddux Michelski, Dylan Jurick, Steven Jurick (wife Alanna), Erin Keeth and Christy Valmer (husband Jason), numerous great-grandchildren, and new friends Natalie and Emma. He was a retired carpet installer with the Floor Coverers Union in Pittsburgh, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and he liked to work in his garden. Born April 6, 1934, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late John and Marcella (Marath) Verbanes. He is survived by his wife, Sharon L. (Riley) Verbanes; daughter, Lori A. (Thomas) Beckowitz of North Huntingdon; son, Mark (Lisa) Verbanes of West Elizabeth; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; also, nieces and nephews. Known affectionately by many as "Dib", Dolly was the proud and loving mother of Angel Andrews, and cherished her role as mother-in-law to EJ Andrews, whom she adored. Her greatest joy in life was being "Nanny" to her beloved grandchildren, Ronnie Johnson (Rebecca) and Evan Andrews. They were truly her world. Everything she did, every sacrifice she made, and every dream she held was rooted in her love for them.

She also had a deep love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, embracing the freedom, strength, and adventure they symbolized-qualities that reflected her own spirit.
