Robert D. Wunderley, age 81, of Liberty Borough, died December 6, 2019, at home. Born March 21, 1938, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late William G. and Alma Rosella (Elliott) Wunderley and the husband of Dorothy E. (Hartzell) Wunderley.
Robert was a member of Liberty Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Active within his church, he served as president of the corporation, elder, trustee, deacon and Sunday school superintendent. Robert was a member and past master of Masonic Youghiogheny Lodge #583. He was a member of Al-O-Mon Forest #138 Tall Cedars and their clown unit, bringing joy and laughter to children of all ages. Robert was former director of operations for Elteg Mgt. Co. Inc., at Chatham Center, for twenty one years and former vice president of Equibank’s building and properties division for twenty six years. A life member of Liberty Borough Volunteer Fire Department, Robert served as former president, secretary and line officer of the department. He was a U.S. Army sergeant with the 336th Military Police Battalion. A disabled veteran of his country, Robert belonged to the White Oak American Legion Post #447 and to Liberty Borough Seniors, where he served as former president. A kind and gentle man, Robert treasured his family and the friends he made throughout his life.

Mark E. Laber, 56, of Irwin, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 6, 2019. He was born May 28, 1963 in Miami, FL, a son of the late Joseph and Barbara (Tomajko) Laber. Mark was a machine set up operator for Wabtec Corp. in Greensburg. He was a 1982 graduate of Norwin Sr. High School and later earned his degree in Industrial Technology from California University of PA. He loved fishing and boating and enjoyed being a part of family gatherings. He is survived by his brother, Jeffrey Laber and his wife, Doreen; sister, Laurie Gillott and her husband, Greg; niece Madeline (Tyson) Stupy; and nephew, Matthew Gillott. She was born March 1, 1946 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mollie (Weiss) Gonzales. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Joseph Gonzales and sisters Rosalie Hansen and Miriam Diggs. Janice J. Brisbine, 83, of Greensburg, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019. She was born October 12, 1936 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Clarence D. and Dorothy (Baum) Brown. Prior to her retirement, Janice worked for S&T Bank in Irwin in the mortgage department and was a member of Norwin Church of the Nazarene and was involved with the keenagers at the Norwin Alliance Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, especially around Christmas, crocheting baby quilts and afghans and attending church with her grandchildren. Although her mind and body failed her at the end, Janice's faith remained strong, and she is now at peace with the Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Brisbine; son, Clarence "Joe" Brisbine; grandson, Shawn Brisbine; brothers, Melvin D. and Paul J. Brown. Kenneth A. Ritchie, age 62 of Elizabeth, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 03, 2019. The son of the late Alan Ritchie and Wanda LoPresti, he is survived by: sisters, Judith, Yvonne, Charlene, and Karen; brothers, Jeffrey and Robert; daughters, Jessica, Kaylee, Crystal, and Danielle; grandchildren, Dylan, Tallie, and Taylen. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ken built a career as a hardworking auto mechanic and scrap worker. Though never married, he shared the best years of his life with the mother of his daughters, the late Angela Karan. Together, they were passionate about music, riding Harley Davidsons, and just enjoying the good times. Ken lived a hard life and dealt with various health issues but he never let that stand in his way. He leaves behind beautiful memories for his family and friends who will miss him dearly and remember him as fun-loving, silly, and charismatic. Ken’s body was cremated but friends and family will be received for a memorial service at the Teichart-Gracan Funeral Home in Duquesne on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 6-8 pm. Melva "Cookie" Tranchini, age 83 of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 in Jefferson Hospital. Born August 10, 1936 in New York, NY, she was a daughter of the late Theodore Mirkovich and Zorka (Terzich) Mirkovich Check. A member of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, its Kola Sisters, and the SNF, Cookie worked as a secretary at both Fisher Scientific and the City of Clairton. She loved her Serbian culture, and loved to bake, cook, and parasail. Cookie is survived by her husband of 59 1/2 years Joseph Tranchini; her children Leslie (Johnathan) Thomas of Arlington, VA and Joseph (Carla) Tranchini of Jefferson Hills; her grandchildren Nicole (Daniel) Muhr, Bryan Wish, and Alexandra and Laura Tranchini; and also nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Cookie was preceded in death by her sister Nedra Drobac.
