Patrick Stetar Jr., 61, of Port Vue, died Saturday, January 16, 2021, with his loving family at his side. Born October 21, 1959, Patrick was the loving father of Erica Stetar (Michael Yavorski) and Crystal Stetar (Harley Dingeldine), adoring grandfather of Michael, Harley, Annistazia.

He is also survived by his mother, Donna (Farrow) Stetar, Siblings, Ricky (Cheryl) Stetar, Victoria Logan, and Kimberly Carapella, Former spouse, Terri Kula, numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in passing by his father, Patrick Stetar Sr. Patrick was a talented artist, and created a mosaic of Jesus for the Port Vue United Methodist Church.

Petro Newby was born August 6, 1961, at McKeesport Hospital. He was the beloved son of the late Beatrice Boyle and Petro Spence. On January 10, 2021, Petro passed away at home. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Nick Newby, Darlene Green, Anthony Berry, Patricia Strode, Karen Spence, and Frederick Berry.

Joyce Arnold, age 78 of White Oak, passed away at home on Monday, January 18, 2021.  Born June 2, 1942 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Mary (Puskaric) Lasch.  A former cashier at Thorofare Market in Olympia Shopping Center and member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in North Huntingdon, Joyce enjoyed playing cards and visiting casinos in her spare time.  She is survived by her husband Kenneth Arnold; her sons Scott Arnold of White Oak and Greg (Denine) Arnold of Jeannette; her daughter Lori (Randy) Anselmino of North Huntingdon; her step-son Jeff (Debi) Mullen of Horsham; her nine grandchildren; her two great-grandchildren; her brothers Thomas (Lynn) Lasch of White Oak and Francis (Lorraine) Lasch of Manassas, VA; and also nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her brother James Lasch.

Michael Pozzuto, 93, of Naples, FL, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021. He was born November 15, 1927 in McKeesport, and was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Ruggier) Pozzuto. Michael was the owner of Pozzuto & Sons Plumbing for 45 years. Prior to that he ran the plumbing division of Ryan Homes and was a past officer of Mon Yough Plumbing Contractors Association. He was a member of Mary, Mother of God, Saint Patrick Church, Christy Park.

Kaye Merrell Whirl, 82, of White Oak, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021. She was born July 4, 1938 in Idaho Falls, Idaho and was the daughter of the late Dr. Ralph Rees Merrell, MD, and the late Lilly Viola (Morganegg) Merrell. She was the wife of the late J. Neil Domgaard who passed away in 1977. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in White Oak and was a graduate of the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Kaye was a retired teacher and had taught 2nd and 3rd grade at Meadow Moor Elementary School in Salt Lake City, Utah for over 30 years.

She was born June 5, 1935 in Oakland, a daughter of the late Thomas and Susan (Suvada) Costello. Dorothy was a Maitre D for years, was a member of St. Agnes Church and enjoyed praying the Rosary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Richard; brother, Al Costello; sister, Dolores Conley; and nephews, Jackie, Charles and Donald. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Richard Bagnato; nieces, Janet, Lorraine (David), Marilyn (Clifford), Marylynn (David), Georgine, Dorrie; and nephews, Daniel, Frank (Debbie) and Donald (Teri). Friends will be received from 9-10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA. Betty J. Kaler, age 86, of Irwin, died on Sunday, January 17, 2021. She was born in McKeesport on June 29, 1934 and is the daughter of the late William and Regina Smith Kaler. She was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School in McKeesport, was a secretary at the G.C. Murphy Company and later was employed as the executive secretary for the vice president of Three Rivers Bank. She was a member of the Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church. One of her greatest joys was attending the symphonies and operas in Pittsburgh.

She was born in Hostetter, PA on May 22, 1922 and is the daughter of the late John and Mary Pavlock Godula, and the wife of the late John B. Bogden. She worked as a salesclerk for the former Gimbel’s Department Store at Eastland Mall. Helen truly enjoyed fashion, flower gardening, and cooking and was well known for her stuffed cabbage. She was most proud of her Slovak heritage.
