Alyssa R. Auld, age 27, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Forbes Hospital. She was a former waitress at Luciano's in White Oak and loved art and drawing. Born March 1, 1994 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of Thomas J. and Janice (Warnick) Auld of Elizabeth. In addition to her parents, she is survived by brothers, Zachary and Joseph Auld, at home; also, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by sister, Tenille Auld. A memorial gathering will take place in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 2 PM until the time of blessing at 7 PM with Deacon Dale DiSanto officiating. Mary Jo Andrews, age 60 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Canterbury Place, Pittsburgh.  Born January 24, 1962 in McKeesport, she is the daughter of Margaret June (Murtha) Andrews of Elizabeth Twp. and the late James M. Andrews.  Mary Jo was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish - St. Michael’s Church, Elizabeth Twp. and was a bartender, cook, waitress around the area and worked most recently with Triumvirate Environmental Inc.  She was a fisherwoman and a good-hearted, free spirit with a heart-of-gold. Along with her mother, she is survived by her fiance' Ken Thornton; her step-daughters Miranda Thornton and Amber (John) Kieon; step-grandchildren Connor and Harper; siblings Susan (Michael) Krznaric of Elizabeth Twp. Michael (Lisa) Andrews of Walnut Creek, CA and Kathleen (David) Henderson of Greenock; brother-in-law George Blalock; and also nieces and nephews.

Berlyn Lewis, age 96, of Elizabeth, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Heritage Manor Senior Living. He retired as a supervisor for Hercules in Clairton. He was a member of Round Hill Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth Twp. where he was a former deacon and a member of the Thriving Survivors Senior Group. A World War II Air Force veteran and former member of the Civil Air Patrol, he was a former security guard with Landmark Security Services. Born September 28, 1925 in Large, he was a son of the late Daniel and Hannah (Lewis) Lewis and husband of the late Katherine (Zofchak) Lewis. He is survived by his daughters, Nancy (Mark) Neff of Elizabeth and Sandra Geiss of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Jonathan (Rachel) Neff of Forward Twp., Katherine (Scott) Jamison of Elizabeth, Craig (Lauren) Geiss of Bloomington, IN and Steven (Emily) Geiss of Columbia, MO; great-grandchildren, Elijah Neff, and Anna, Chillian, Kieran and Cormac Jamison; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sister, Leona Kessler, and brothers, William, Orville and Daniel Lewis, and David Alderson. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Born April 15, 1946 in Castle Shannon, he was a son of the late David and Alberta (Robinson) Lycett and partner of the late Joseph “Bill” O’Brien. Brooks, age 67 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 in UPMC McKeesport.  Born July 15, 1954 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Madeline (Frankovich) Gross.  A dispatcher and paramedic for Mon Valley 911 amongst others, Diane retired as a parking lot attendant with Parking Solutions at Jefferson Hospital.  In her spare time, she was a member of Pennsembles, the CFU Lodge #3 of Versailles, and the Lincoln Borough VFD.  Diane is survived by her husband of 43 years Robert C. Brooks; her children Dawn Brooks of McKeesport and Matthew Brooks of East McKeesport; her grandchildren Kaylee, Austin, Madalynn, Charles, Chad, Tyler, and Sierra; and her great-grandchild Nolan.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother John Gross and her uncle Richard Medved.

(Vergot) Dormihal.  A US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War era, John worked as an ambulance driver for both CH Transcare and Community Life.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years Anna Marie (Rupcic) Dormihal, his children Stephanie (Sean) Cammarata of Swisshelm Park and Nicholas Dormihal of Buena Vista, and many cousins.  Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister Betty Dormihal.

Rhoda E. (Swaney) Sedlock, age 92, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in the comfort of her home and her children. Rhoda’s greatest joy in life was her family and being Grams to her grandchildren and Great Grams to her great grandchildren. She was well known over the years by family and friends for her lady locks and nut rolls. She was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate fan and knew all the players’ names and statistics and always looked forward to spring training and that first televised game. Born August 1, 1929 in Haydentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Orville Swaney and Marie (Hefner) Swaney. Preceded in death in 2016 by her loving husband of 65 years of marriage, Walter J. Sedlock, she is survived by a son, Walter (Susan) Sedlock of Greensburg, PA.; daughters, Diane (Eric) Olsen of Billings, MT and Joyce (Dennis) Marburger of Stewartstown, PA.; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Swaney and her sister, Margaret Rhodes. She was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Township. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bernard J. Derkas, Sr., age 84 of Versailles, passed away at home on Friday, January 14, 2022.  Born September 14, 1937 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Charles and Julia (Mallak) Derkas.  Bernie was a Veteran of the US Marine Corps, serving during the Korean War; was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish - St. Patrick's Church in Christy Park, and also worked as a self-employed furniture repairman and refinisher.  In his spare time, Bernie was a guitarist for the band "Shades of Country" and was a volunteer for the Rails to Trails program.  His family will remember his belief in hard work, humility, family values, and humor.  Besides his parents, Bernie was preceded in death by his wife Sandra (Hickman) Derkas, who passed away July 30, 2003, his son Mark Derkas, Sr., and his grandsons Vince and Daniel Derkas.  He was also preceded in death by his beloved dog, "Amos."  Bernie is survived by his children Cynthia (David) Krautz, Butch (Sandi) Derkas, and David (Sherry) Derkas; his eight grandchildren Anthony Derkas, Sr., Joe Derkas, Julie DeBlasio, Annie Krautz, Jes Krautz, Shelby Derkas, Mark Derkas, Jr., and Kayla Derkas; his four great-grandchildren Anthony Derkas, Jr., Paige Derkas, Vera DeBlasio, and Marky Derkas.

A retired stationary engineer at US Steel - Clairton Works, Daniel was a US Marine Corps Veteran of World War II, a member of the former First United Methodist Church of Clairton, and a former member of both the Free and Accepted Masonic Lodge of Dravosburg and the VFW Post #803 in Wilson.  Daniel is survived by his wife Geraldine (Brown) Alderson Cochran; his son Daniel A. (Barbara) Cochran, Jr. of Upper St. Clair; his grandsons Robert (Amy) Cochran and their children Dean and Noah and Kenneth (Arrissa) Cochran and their children Alexander and Hannah; his step-children William D.
