Michael Nesbitt, age 57 of McKeesport, died on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. He was born March 22, 1961 in Pittsburgh, the son of Inez Arango Nesbitt of Duluth, Georgia, and the late Lawrence C. Nesbitt. He is also survived by his wife Debra Kay Clevenger Nesbitt of McKeesport; brother, David Nesbitt of Houston, Texas; cousins, and friends, Reverend Helen Burkhart and Jeffrey Baumiller of McKeesport.

She was born June 18, 1953 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late George Earl and Mary Kathleen Day Goodridge and wife of the late David Vaughn Arrington. Dawn was a sales clerk for Dollar General and Marshalls. She was well known in her community and was the first to offer help to anyone in need.

Edward Russel Aikins, age 58, of Avonmore, died Monday, October 8, 2018. He was born in Latrobe on October 20, 1959 and is the son of the late James E. and May Mertz Aikins. He was employed through and also a member of the Local Union 66 Operating Engineers as a heavy equipment operating engineer. His favorite past time was working on and riding his many motorcycles. Suzanne was an elementary and middle school teacher for Duquesne Public Schools. She also enjoyed painting and drawing. She is survived by her husband David Radosevich; sons, Russell (Loretta) Grice of Lima, Ohio, Michael (Mary) Grice of Fredricksburg, VA, Joseph (Marnie) Grice of Spotsylvania, VA; daughters, Cathy (Mark) Olague of Scotsdale, AZ, Jennifer (Chris) Martin of Spotsylvania, VA, and 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Thomas A. Piotrowski, age 90, a World War II veteran, avid gardener and lifelong resident of McKeesport, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2018.
Tom was born November 16, 1927, to the late Louis and Josephine (Pasko) Piotrowski, Polish immigrants who settled in Liberty Borough. He grew up in the Christy Park district of McKeesport with his seven brothers and sisters and graduated from McKeesport Area Vocational Technical High in 1945.
Tom was drafted into active service with the Army of the United States in 1946, serving in the 336th Ordnance Depot Company. He attended cook and mess sergeant school at Fort George G. Meade in Maryland. Tom also served in the Western Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II, as a mess hall cook in Manila, Philippines. He was promoted to Private First Class and awarded the Army of Occupation and World War II Victory medals for his overseas service.
Tom was honorably discharged in 1947 and returned home to McKeesport. He married Dorothy Frances Kolodziej, a fellow Christy Parker from the next street over, and the devoted couple had three children: Carol, Tom Jr. and Frank. Tom worked for more than 35 years at U.S. Steel National Tube Works in McKeesport, becoming senior physical tester.
Tom enjoyed taking his wife and children on many summer vacations to Ocean City, Maryland and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where they often camped on the beach. He continued the tradition with his two granddaughters and loved early morning walks in Myrtle Beach. Tom never passed up a good meal and enjoyed spending many hours tending mini roses in his backyard garden.

Norma Prokop Hall Sabol, age 83, of Liberty Borough, died at peace with the Lord on Thursday, September 13, 2018. She was born December 23, 1934 in Port Vue, the daughter of the late Steve and Anna Pavlik Prokop.
Norma worked as an accounts payable clerk for the former R & J Furniture of McKeesport. She enjoyed baking, cooking, reading and watching Pittsburgh sports teams. She loved her family most of all, and family is all she ever really wanted.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, John L. Hall; and her husband, Lawrence Sabol. She is survived by children, John N. (Pattie) Hall of Beaver, Janice L. (Todd) Jaussen of Greenville, Annamarie (Arthur) Campedel of Glassport, and George L. (Nancy) Hall of Belle Vernon; brother, John (Ann) Prokop of North Huntingdon; 17 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Leona Evans, known to family and friends as "Lee Lee”, of McKeesport, passed away on September 10th, 2018, at the age of 69 years. She was born in McKeesport on February 20, 1949 and is the daughter of the late John and Mildred Smith Slater.
She was a faithful member of Temple of Faith Church in North Versailles and a cook for many years. Leona enjoyed her cats, shopping, traveling and spending time with her family.

John H. “Jack” Waugaman, Jr., age 83 of West Mifflin, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 1, 2018. He died peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was born November 14, 1934 in Duquesne, the son of the late John H. and Helen Ringler Waugaman, and husband of the late Kathryn March. Jack worked for Kennywood Park for many years on the pony tracks, and as a ride operator. He was a foreman for US Steel Duquesne Works for 31 ½ years. He loved hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and playing cards.
