Bobby was a 1963 graduate of West Newton High School & proudly served in the United States Airforce during the Vietnam war where he became a Sergeant in under four years.  He was employed at Guardian Industries in Elizabeth, Pa where he later retired. He was the husband of 16 years to Jill (Fouser) Ernst; father of Joe (Tammie) Ernst of Jefferson Hills and Chad Ernst of Clairton; grandfather of Tristin, Emerick, Macksim & Ensleigh Ernst; step father of Dena (Kevin) Wright of Leesburg, VA, Jennifer Stefan of West Mifflin, Michael (Lizz) Skovranko of Erie; step grandfather of Katie Wright, Jocelyn Stefan, Ryan Stefan, Jacob Stefan, Dean Stefan and Aria Skovranko. He is also survived by several step brothers and step sisters.
