Sandra (Gillen) Holland, age 77, of Dade City, FL, formerly of Clairton, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 10, 2020.  She was a member of New Hope Assembly of God Church in Elizabeth Twp. and was a retired manager for M & M Uniforms in Elizabeth. She enjoyed being a grandmother and great-grandmother. Born April 17, 1942 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Wayne T. and Mary D. (Bircher) Gillen. She is survived by son, Wayne (Eva) Holland of Zephyrhills, FL; grandchildren, Christopher Holland, Sarah Holland Nichols, Nicholas Holland, Alex Holland, Ashley Holland, Alora Holland Butler, Wayne D. Holland and Kasandra Holland; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, John "Jack" Gillen of Tennessee; sister, Kathy Gee of Virginia; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, James "Hymie" Roy Holland. There will be a memorial gathering in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Sunday, February 16, 2020, from 12 PM until the time of a memorial service at 3 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Damian Schoonmaker officiating. Ray worked for 32 years in Receiving and as a forklift driver at the Former PACE then Sam's Club in West Mifflin. He was a loving father and loved his family. Beverly J. (Smith) Parker, 71, of Glassport died Feb. 10, 2020.  She is the daughter of Robert Brown and the late Doris E. Smith.  She is survived by her beloved husband Herb Parker; daughters Heather (Dave) Langsdorf, Carrie (George) Price, Carly (Jeffrey) Westfall and Penney (Janice) Krocsko; grandchildren David, Breanna, Natalee, Paige, George, Jonah, Gabrielle, Chloe, Gavin, and Sophie; sisters Penney (Bill)  Estep and Nancy Lauderbaugh; brothers Jeff Lauderbaugh, Roy (Brenda) Lauderbaugh and Robert (Darla) Brown, Jr.; and her furry babies Katrina, Buddy and Quasar. She was preceded in death by her brother Russell Lauderbaugh.  Beverly was retired from UPMC and the Dept. of Public Welfare; was a member of the Glassport Assembly of God Church and was an avid bingo player.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport, Wed. from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8.  A funeral service will be held Thurs. 11:00 am in the funeral home.  Interment following Round Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wojciechowski Funeral Home to help the family with the funeral.

Eileen M. Vlasick, 90, of North Huntingdon, passed unexpectedly on Sunday, February 9, 2020.  She was born January 3, 1930 in Wyano, a daughter of the late John and Stella (Popek) Oberc.  Eileen was a founding member of St. Agnes Church, member of Christian Mothers and helped with the church bazaar.  She worked throughout the Norwin School District for 13 years  in food services and retired in 1992.  She was very active in Boy Scouts, Norwin Band Aides, AARP Chapter #3221 and enjoyed gardening, baking and loved to travel with her husband, Tom, visiting all 50 states.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas J. Vlasick; two sisters, Carol and Louise.  She was the beloved mother of two sons, Thomas Jr. and Paul; two daughters, Mary Catherine Mathis and her husband, Richard "Buddy", and Eileen A. Vlasick; grandchildren, Amy (Steve) Weyant, Steven (Brittany) Mathis; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Mathis and baby Weyant.  Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the James W. Cecelia A. “Cel” (Rago) Hlad age 92, of West Mifflin, on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Marian Manor.  Born in Duquesne on December 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Marie (Dudash) Rago.  She was a retired nurse from Magee Women’s Hospital, member of Christ the Light of the World Parish in Duquesne, past member of the former Duquesne Annex Senior Citizens, member of the former Christ the Light of the World Rosary Society & Women’s Guild, and was also a former cashier at Mann’s Bros. She was the beloved wife of Joseph G. “Whitey” Hlad for 68 years; mother of Melany Hlad of Pittsburgh, Nadine (David) Winwood of White Oak, Patrice “PT" (Paul Ludwig) Hlad of West Mifflin; Buba of Joseph Winwood of Plano, Texas and Nicholas Winwood of Manchester, New Hampshire.  She was the sister of the late Louise (late Andrew) Krasman, late Joseph (late Alicia) Rago, and late Agnes (late Michael “Kope”) Kopolovich.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 11 from 2-8 p.m.  at the MALOY-SCHELIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, where an “Angels of the Allegheny” service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. A Blessing Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 12 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name Church of Christ the Light of the World Parish at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, West Mifflin. "Denny" Nagy, age 77 of Clairton, passed away at home on February 7, 2020.  Denny was a member of the American Legion Post # 75 of Clairton where served as Adjutant for 20 years, a past member and president of the Clairton School Board, and served in the National Guard.  Born December 4, 1942 in Clairton, he was a son of the late George and Olga (Marko) Nagy.  Denny was an electrical team leader for US Steel Clairton works and retired after 40 years.  He is survived by his wife Sheila (Delestienne) Leck Nagy; his step-children Allison (Dusan) Markovic of Clinton, TN, Denise (Troy) Coughenour of Elizabeth Twp., and James (Jennifer) Leck, Jr. of Glassport; his step-grandchildren Rachel (Andrew) Burch, Alex Kuhn, Bryer and Jordan Coughenour, and Brendan Leck; his brother David Nagy of Hollywood, FL; his sister, Alice (Jim) Takacs of Hays; and also by one step great grandchild.

Susan L. (Norris) Filer, 68, of Pittsburgh, formerly of North Huntingdon, died Wednesday February 5, 2020. She was born May 15, 1951 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Lee and Jean (Calmus) Norris and was also preceded in death by a sister Pamela Mitall.

Susan was a caregiver in the healthcare field, but she devoted her life to raising her three children and, in recent years, “Grammy” delighted in helping to lovingly care for her five beautiful grandchildren. When not spending time with her family, she treasured time with numerous close friends, including card club, shared meals, and fun travels.

Whether family, friend, or stranger, Susan had a smile, warm hug, and kind word for every person who crossed her path. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Irwin.
