Doris Lightner, 88, of Clairton, Pennsylvania, died peacefully on September 12, 2019 in  UPMC McKeesport Hospital.

Doris was born June 3, 1932 in Clairton, PA, daughter of the late Robert Hurt and Sallie Johnson Belland Hurt.

She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive First Baptist Church and attended regularly until her health began to fail. Ms. Lightner was a devoted wife and mother, who made everyone around her always feel at peace.

Left to cherish her memory son, Amzi Lightner of Clairton, PA; brother, Sanford Hurt, two grandchildren, Demetrius and Amber, seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Helen F. (Sichitano) Yaderosa, age 96, of Manheim, formerly of North Versailles, passed away Monday, September 16, 2019 at Mt. Hope Nazarene Community. She was born February 4, 1923 in Braddock, a daughter of the late Michael and Francis (Grillo) Sichitano. She was a longtime member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in East McKeesport and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She worked as a clerk at G.C. Murphy in Wilkinsburg before devoting her time to raising their children. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Joseph C. Yaderosa; and son John M. Yaderosa; 5 sisters; and 4 brothers. She is survived by her daughter Judy (Dale) Taylor of Manheim; grandchildren Melissa (Shane) Taylor Siford, Jason (Amy Gordon) A. Taylor and Lauren (Angel) Taylor Medina all of Lancaster; great granddaughters Kyla Siford, Kelleigh Medina, great grandsons Justin Siford, Braelon Siford, Jacob Medina, Samuel Medina, Brody Taylor and Max Medina; sister Kay Benkovich.

She was the daughter of the late Earl D. and Donna (Gibson) Ferrington and the wife of the late William (Bill) Lockhart. Barbara was a member of the Highland Grove Methodist Church, where she constructed a labyrinth of healing after her first battle with breast cancer. Her passions were fishing, riding motorcycles, card games, crocheting, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Lynn served as a registered nurse at Jefferson Hospital for 15 years and Community Life for 12 years. She loved to spend time tending to her garden. She was a woman of Christian faith and enjoyed reading her bible. She enjoyed traveling and taking vacations. She visited places such as Lake Arthur, Topsail Island, and North Carolina.

He spent his last days surrounded by family & died without pain. Born in Duquesne, June 9, 1920, he was the son of the Late John and Elizabeth (Sabol) Horgos. Mr. Horgas was a member of the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin, American Legion Post 308 in Dravosburg, and a proud U.S. Army Veteran of W.W. II, and the former VFW Post 188 in Duquesne. Mr. Horgas was a retired employee of the Union Railroad Company. Beloved husband of the late Betty J. (Argilan) Horgas. Ronald R. “Tugboat” Bodnar, Sr. aged 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.  Ron was born in McKeesport, PA on July 7th, 1952 to the late Robert and Frances Bodnar.  

He was affectionately known by friends and family as “Tugboat”, a nickname he earned from his 35-year career as a tugboat captain at U.S. Steel. 

His favorite place to spend time was his “retirement home”, a camper and community near Pymatuming Lake, where he loved boating, fishing and spending his days with friends and family. 

Ron had a larger than life personality and he lit up the room with his raucous laughter. He was a devoted husband, father, “Pap”, and friend. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Deborah (Seng) Bodnar, son Ron Jr. (Kristy) Bodnar, son Brad (Noel) Bodnar, 3 adoring grandchildren, Carson, Mason and Olivia who lovingly knew him as “Pap”, and sister Debra (James) Reynolds.
